I can not remember having felt this way listening to a record since I was maybe 16 – 17 years old. Farao has created a master piece which stands out as maybe this years best album from a Norwegian artist. The album starts off full of intricate rhythms and lovely melodies – and when you think this can not possibly be any better the second song “Bodies” sends you on another even more lovely trip. Each time I listen to the album another track becomes my new favourite. The song “Maze” is a lovely jazzy track. “Feel” is yet another rhythmic and experimental revelation. When I was young I had all the time in the world to listen through albums again and again – finding hidden gems in complex albums. Farao sends me back in time and into that state where every song is new and fresh and sounding like nothing else – and I love it.
